DA2PP - (series of 3-4) when a puppy; then yearly boosters
Rabies - puppies first at 16 weeks; booster in one year; then booster every three years
Parasite Prevention - Flea/Tick Control – monthly either topically or orally. Your Veterinarian can direct you to the most appropriate product for your situation.
DeWorming - (puppies with vaccine series); then yearly or as needed
Heartworm Protection – monthly by mouth. Testing will be required at six months then yearly. Your Veterinarian can direct you to the most appropriate product for your situation.
Microchip – This is a permanent means of identification. If your pet were to get lost, this will greatly improve the chances of getting them back home.
Physical Exam - Your pet should be examined by the Veterinarian yearly.
If you have a “social” dog should also consider the following vaccines. Your Veterinarian can direct you to the vaccines that are most appropriate for your situation: [a “social” dog is one who meets other dogs at the dog park, dog shows, groomer, camping, PetSmart or the like]
Bordetella - (series of three when beginning; then yearly boosters
Canine Influenza - (series of two when beginning); then yearly boosters
Lyme - (series of two when beginning); then yearly boosters
Rattlesnake - (series of two when beginning); then yearly boosters in the Spring
Lepto - (series of two when beginning); then yearly boosters
FVRCP - (series of three) when a kitten; then yearly boosters
FeLV - (series of two), then yearly booster. This will require a test before first vaccine.
